How do I register on the platform?
To register, please visit our website at
www.connectmedplus.com
or download our app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Complete the sign-up section, and your HPCSA credentials will be verified. Once approved, you will gain full access to the ConnectMedPlus platform.
Why do I need to upload my documents?
ConnectMedPlus is an exclusive platform designed specifically for medical professionals. Uploading your credentials, such as your HPCSA card, allows us to verify your professional details and ensures that access to the platform is restricted to certified medical professionals only.
How can I find available medical professionals to assist?
Use the “View Availability” feature on the platform to search for medical professionals by profession, province, city, and date. If a suitable professional is found, you can contact them via email, phone, or WhatsApp. If no match is found, use the “Post Opportunity” feature to advertise opportunities within your practice or area.
How will I be notified of a medical professional seeking my assistance?
Once you indicate availability via 'My Availability,' professionals seeking assistance can contact you directly. Keep your availability updated to reflect your status. You can also explore the 'View Opportunities' section to find posted opportunities.
Will I receive cases or assistance immediately?
As the community grows, more opportunities will become available. Invite your colleagues to join for a larger network and increased chances of finding work or assistance.
How will I receive payment for assistance provided?
Payment arrangements are between the assisting and assisted professionals. Fees can be recovered directly or through patient medical aid claims. Connectmed Plus (PTY) LTD is not responsible for unpaid fees.
Is indemnity insurance required?
Yes, all medical practitioners in South Africa must maintain indemnity insurance. This is not provided by Connectmed Plus (PTY) LTD and must be arranged independently.
What about taxes?
As an independent contractor, you are responsible for complying with South African tax regulations. Seek advice from a registered tax professional if needed.
What to do when a booking/arrangement is cancelled?
If either party cancels a booking, they should notify the other party as soon as possible to minimize disruptions and maintain professionalism.
